I'm  Emily!

My husband Brad and I never really had what would be considered a healthy relationship with food. Sure, we tried, but in the end life usually got in the way as it does. Between working, shuffling the kids around to school and activities, and trying to maintain some time together, preparing wholesome meals just usually didn’t fit. If it was quick and included some sort of fruit or veggie, it was good enough for us. But the convenience meals tend to take a bigger toll on aging, slowing metabolisms so Brad and I really felt the brunt of their effects.

Suddenly Brad and I found ourselves as empty nesters with nothing but time on our hands - and excess weight on our bodies. I knew we needed to make a change, so I decided to pick a new lifestyle diet and track how it went for us so we could adapt as necessary. I settled on Keto, because of the basic “rules” and the lack of random restrictions. This meant that I could still follow my diet without needing to do a lot of time-intensive prepping. I spent time reading studies and testing out recipes… and the log of all of that is how our site was born! Brad would jokingly call me the Keto Queen while I was in the thick of it, and it just kind of stuck :)

Nowadays though, we’ve moved away from a strict keto diet. We still focus on foods like lean meats and fats, but I don’t run away from rice & pasta anymore! So now I love to learn about and test different diets and health trends, and share my thoughts on them with anyone who wants to listen! I’ve got my Keto King by my side and as a team we want to help you become healthier and look even better!
